Sacrament of Holy Baptism

The sacrament of Holy Baptism normally takes place in the midst of a worshipping assembly as a sign that in baptism we are made one with Christ and with the whole people of God. On behalf of the whole church, we promise to support new sisters and brothers in Christ, confess the faith with them, and welcome them into the body of Christ.

However, under some circumstances baptism happens in different settings, including private services. While this is not preferred, it is an option for a baptismal candidate with prior conversation and approval of the pastor.
